About the role:
The role of Cleaning Operatives is to provide general cleaning services at King’s College London. Cleaning Operatives need to ensure that cleaning standards are maintained following specific instructions given by the manager, and that the tasks are carried out according to the duty manager instructions.
The following apply to this role:
£13.92 per hour
various shift patterns per week
5am till 9am Mon – Fri
5pm till 10pm Mon – Fri
10pm till 7am Sun – Thursday
Part – time weekend shifts
Central London locations

To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:

Essential criteria

  • Good communication skills, including the ability to understand and respond to instructions, as well as interacting with a diverse mix of staff, students and members of the public.
  • Good customer service skills with an understanding of customer expectations and how these can be met.
  • Ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure.

Desirable criteria

  • Good teamwork skills
  • Cleaning Experience
  • Cleaning training or qualifications (e.g., BICS )
