THE POSITION

The Pennsylvania State Police have a Clerical Assistant 2 position open in the Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement. This position will provide clerical support to the Bureau staff.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position is assigned to the staff of the Director, Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement, and provides clerical support to the Bureau Director; Director, Administration Division; and the Director, Operations Division. This position will ensure the smooth and effective flow of work between Department/Bureau Headquarters and the District Enforcement Offices.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

  • Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (commonwealth title); or
  • Graduation from high school; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirements:

  • 1 year or more of experience using Microsoft Excel.
  • 1 year or more of experience proofreading and editing various types of materials to ensure grammatical correctness and completeness.
  • 1 year or more of experience answering and assisting with incoming telephone calls.
  • 1 year or more of experience maintaining databases, spreadsheets, and logs.
  • 1 year or more of experience working in a position that required processing invoices, payments, and managing financial accounts.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
