Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clerical Officer to support the Pathology administration team.
The post holder will perform a range of duties within their field of speciality in order that the Department fulfils its service requirement to the Trust and complies with national standards including those set by United Kingdom Accreditation Service and the Human Tissue Authority
The post is for 12 hours per week details to be discussed at interview stage .

Dealing with telephone calls from service users in a professional manner that is consistent with legislation, policies and procedures including data protection and confidentiality,
Liaising with the multi-disciplinary team within the service and with staff from other departments in a professional and courteous manner.
Assist in the locating, collecting and returning case notes using the appropriate tracking procedures and following trust guidelines.
General office duties including opening and distributing post, housekeeping, filing, photocopying and maintaining stock of routine supplies.
Assist in ensuring a healthy, safe and secure working environment for self and team.
Data entry of results/information i.e. patient assessments etc, where appropriate using appropriate technologies and systems
Demonstrate commitment to IWL principles and flexible working patterns, to meet the needs of the service and staff
Tackle discrimination and harassment, and promote equality and diversity in the workplace
Reduce sickness absence; work place accidents; and promote zero tolerance on violence against staff
Take responsibility for personal development and education and the development of a Personal Development Plan.
Any other ad-hoc duties as and when required in line with service needs.
