DNB’s Santiago office opened in 2008 and we are the only Scandinavian bank with a Latin America presence outside Brazil. Our office focuses on Seafood, as well as Energy & Infrastructure sectors in South America.
We are currently 10 employees in the office, and we focus on large corporate customers in the region within our main industries, as well as Nordic and International Corporations based in Chile. We are a leading bank within our sectors in the Latin American markets and a key discussion partner for renewable companies in South America. Our Energy Department is committed to financing innovative projects that contribute to a greener and more sustainable future.

JOB SUMMARY:

We are looking for a motivated and hardworking project finance professional with at least 3 years of relevant experience to join our Energy team. Your primary responsibility will be to assist in management and oversight of existing project finance transactions. You will play a critical role in the execution of new transactions, due diligence processes and preparation of credit applications. By working closely with the local team as well as other offices (NY and Oslo), you will assist in preparation of pitching materials, industry presentations and financial analysis following the full life cycle of corporate and project finance transactions.

COMPETENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
• Highly motivated with ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis is strong plus.
• Fluent in English.
• Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office. Excel and PowerPoint in particular.
• Flexibility to travel.
• Relevant Project Finance and sector experience.

• Management of existing project finance portfolio in close cooperation with the rest of the team.
• Support pitching for new opportunities in the energy sector.
• Participate in project financings and credit structuring and execution.
• Prepare credit applications.
• Develop a team-oriented relationship with the teams in Santiago, NY and Oslo.
• Ensure proper follow up of the portfolio in line with transaction documents, internal regulations such as ESG, AML, KYC.
• Prepare industry presentations, reports and analysis.
• Proactively seek information and develop knowledge to become a trusted expert on the local and regional energy market.
• Follow the matrix organization of DNB Santiago office ensuring that tasks are solved efficiently by close cooperation with all relevant stakeholders in Oslo, NY and Santiago ranging from investment banking to more operational departments.
