Purpose of Position
To provide compliance and risk support to Head of Health, NZ Client Service Manager’s, BSI ANZ Leadership team and throughout BSI ANZ

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • Provide technical assistance to BSI ANZ
  • Ensure that external stakeholder requirements and BSI procedures are being met
  • Effective communication links are established and maintained – in particular with MoH HealthCERT.
  • Responding to client requests for information in a timely and accurate manner to all relevant parties that mitigate risks.
  • Completing peer reviews of audit reports for consistency.
  • Conducting Lead or Support auditing of health and disability services in accordance with any current requirements of our designation with the Ministry of Health, 3rd party accreditation, or with funders (i.e. ACC, Te Whatu Ora, etc).
  • Implement changes required due to external and internal stakeholder requirements.
  • Liaise with external stakeholders as required, including managing appeals and complaints.
  • Assist in the competency approval process of BSI auditors.
  • Ensure that there are sufficient resources to complete report reviews in specialist areas.
  • Complete report reviews as required
  • Review sales proposals as required to ensure compliance with accreditation requirements
  • Review procedures and documentation as required
  • Undertake internal audits as required
  • Maintain nominal audit load to ensure currency of qualifications
  • Prepare and present technical information to Client Managers and other BSI employees/auditors
  • Prepare internal and external reports as required
  • Undertake Compliance projects as required
  • Other tasks as required related to BSI ANZ business
  • Act as a brand Ambassador for BSI. This means acting ethically, following company rules, and promoting BSI services to clients so they are able to optimize business performance and “Make Excellence a Habit”.
  • To undertake ongoing training needs analysis and identify skills development for teams, ensuring robust development plans are in place Monitoring and development of the DAA / Other auditor network.

This includes:

  • Conducting peer quality reviews of audit reports and providing feedback to the BSI audit teams/network.
  • Attendance at MoH / DAA training days.
  • Design and delivery of auditor training days.
  • Maintaining BSI’s auditor register.
  • Completion of individual annual performance reviews of the auditor network.
  • Ensuring ongoing competency of auditors through newsletters and teleconferences.
  • Preparing new auditors with appropriate induction programs and competencies.
  • Continually monitor auditor competency and provide further training as needed.

  • Provide reports to the Head of Health in a timely manner.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

  • At least three (3) years’ experience as a Health and Human Services or management systems client manager
  • Experience in preparing high-quality written documentation.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the New Zealand accreditation framework
  • Computer Literate and able to manage multiple files, records, and backup processes
  • Highly organized, with a proven ability to manage a number of projects at any given time.
  • Proven demonstration of understanding and implementation of BSI policies and procedures
  • A good communicator who can liaise with, and influence, a wide audience including employees, external groups, and committees.
