Description:

JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for leading and providing product and service expertise during all the coordination and project management activities associated on client accounts that have been assigned on an individual basis or as part of a team. As a Client Production Specialist, you have the responsibility to independently manage all customer facing and production related actives to ensure that we deliver products and services that meet our client’s expectations.
You will function very independently with little support from Account Executives and lead most of the direct contact with each client inquiry or request. You will be seen as a trusted advisor and fully immerse yourself in your client’s business needs and ensure DCM is providing guidance and recommendations that is in their best interest, while ensuring profitability for DCM and keeping within company policies. You are considered an expert in the products and services delivered by your home plant and understand who to reach out to for support from other facilities.
You are accountable for professionally representing the DCM brand to assigned clients and achieving the tasks which have been defined based on the scope of work.

CLIENT RELATED ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Lead client activities related to the coordination of production and order execution.
  • Handle client inquiries relating to; orders, inventory, pricing, deliveries, general inquiries, customer issues and leads in identifying problems and creating solutions.
  • Independently able to translate client business requirements into technical specifications and be able to lead those conversations with internal departments in the development of client solutions.
  • This position must be able to advise and recommend the best manufacturing process including but not limited to size, quantity, paper, finishing, and delivery method. You will spend time through analysis making proactive recommendations to your clients.
  • Works with our internal teams to develop work back schedules and budgets that could have a wide range of touchpoints and dependencies.
  • Works with Account Executives providing them with key support with administrative tasks, planning out new orders for customers assigned. Manages the gathering of information for quote requests and prepares pricing for sales team to review and/or to present directly to the client.
  • You are involved in the business development activities on the accounts managed and are able to negotiate on new business with client directly if required

REQUIREMENTS

  • Technical or community college diploma in Business Communications, Graphics Communications, Print Purchasing/Management, Marketing
  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role
  • Minimum 3 years experience in print production and business communication in areas of planning, coordination, or other relevant experience
  • Proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook, previous experience using ERP type software, knowledge of Graphics Software
  • Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, ability to multitask, well developed interpersonal skills, very strong problem solving abilities, able to work and make decisions independently, process driven.
  • Understanding of quality processes
  • Able to manage concurrent deliverables and tasks on various assignments (or components of a project) within strict deadlines in a very fast paced environment
  • Patient, proactive and disciplined
  • Customer service and data entry experience

  • Creating and maintaining Job Notes
  • Assist other team members and sales with ad hoc initiatives.
  • Enter resolution requests (RSR / Cases) for QC issues, or invoicing inaccuracies.
  • Collect, analyze, and provide relevant information to be included as part of the client PBR when required.
  • Other duties as assigned
