JOB SUMMARY:

Genesis Drug Discovery and Development (GD3), a member of the Genesis Biotechnology Group is a contract research organization focused on providing services to support preclinical drug discovery programs from early discovery through NDA submission. The Company’s diversified portfolio of services covers all areas of preclinical and clinical drug discovery/development including Discovery Biology, Synthetic Organic and Medicinal Chemistry, DMPK/in-vivo pharmacology, Toxicology, and Clinical Trial support. GD3’s platforms also cover a wide range of therapeutic areas including oncology, ophthalmology, inflammation/autoimmunity, metabolic diseases, and microbiome.
We are seeking a Client Relations Manager to promote the company’s portfolio of early drug discovery services to secure new accounts and to grow existing accounts at pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. A successful candidate will promote portions of the GD3 portfolio of drug discovery/development services to develop business from inbound leads (web traffic, marketing leads) and to grow existing accounts.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Degree in a scientific field (Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology or other life sciences) and/or applicable experience required.
  • Experience in preclinical CRO, conducting IND enabling studies strongly preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, good judgment, and ability to communicate with a diverse range of professionals from the Drug Discovery and Development community.
  • Ability to recognize the needs of the customer and collaborate with scientific management of the Company to develop proposals.
  • Travel required (10-25%).

Responsibilities:

  • Achieve a comprehensive understanding and familiarity with GD3’s services.
  • Contact inbound inquiries in a timely manner, collect information and qualify opportunities.
  • Ability to recognize the needs of the customer and collaborate with scientific management of represented services and other GD3 sites to develop proposals.
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, good judgment and ability to communicate with a diverse range of professionals from the Drug Discovery and Development community (managing directors, clients, consultants, legal teams, scientists).
  • Participate in weekly BD meetings to discuss client drug development pipelines and support cross-selling activities.
  • Possess or develop strong motivation to expand the existing expertise into new business areas
  • Optimize service listing on third party platforms (e.g. Scientist.com, scienceexhcange.com, etc.).
  • Evaluate Request for Proposals (RFPs) and collaborate with necessary individuals to complete these proposals.
  • Document all sales activities in Client Resource Management (CRM) system.
  • Establish Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDA), Master Service Agreements (MSA), and related agreements when appropriate.
  • Schedule and co-ordinate meetings between stakeholders and sponsors. Take meeting notes and manage sales process by setting expectations and timelines.
  • Operate in a matrix environment with stakeholders to generate and issue quotes.
  • Monitor and manage the sales pipeline by tracking quote expiry dates, updating anticipated close dates, forecasting and following up with client accounts. Report this information to leadership at regular intervals and upon request.
  • Strive to meet assigned operational efficiency and sales goals.
  • Participate in training sessions.
  • Solicit client feedback when projects close and identify follow-on study/ cross-sell opportunities.
  • Coordinate marketing activities to increase inbound sales (e.g. online advertisements, content development).
