REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience of working in the natural environment, with a strong understanding of environmental conservation principles and practices.
• Proven track record of developing and implementing projects that support climate mitigation and adaptation goals.
• Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritise and deliver multiple initiatives simultaneously.

As part of our growing Climate Action Team, the Climate and Natural Environment Officer will play a pivotal role in championing and enhancing Cherwell’s natural environment. You will lead efforts to develop and implement nature-based solutions to mitigate and adapt to the impacts of climate change.

• Co-ordinating the management and enhancement of the district’s natural environment in alignment with our Climate Change Strategy.
• Developing and delivering projects to support climate mitigation and adaptation, such as establishing new habitats to sequester greenhouse gas emissions.
• Building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders to foster collaboration and support for on-the-ground projects
