JOB DESCRIPTION

The Climate Smart Agriculture Country Coordinator (Sustainability Coordinator) is responsible for managing and developing the coordination of the local Climate Smart Ag Initiatives working with country assets, commercial teams & clients to deliver the agreed objectives.
The role requires the individual to work with multiple stakeholders across the Agricultural supply chain to seek out and deliver value to the ADM business through meeting of corporate Strive35 objectives which include GHG, water & landfill reductions. As well as meeting customer demand for the commercial team on sustainability initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • To work with the supply chain (processors, customers, information providers, input suppliers / agronomists and farmers) to deliver gather information and seek out local opportunities that meet the business objectives.
  • To take the lead in the local region on Climate Smart Agriculture (Ag) client projects and work with regional stakeholders. Such as regen agriculture, sustainability and deforestation initiatives.
  • To work with the Head of EMEA Climate Smart Ag Origination to assist in the development and evolution of data-led sustainability models either in-house or through third party providers
  • To lead and contribute to local business development and client meetings in delivering value from Climate Smart Ag projects – this will include report writing, data collection and entry and presenting to stakeholders

Your profile (Experience and capabilities):

  • An understanding of sustainability challenges in the food and agriculture supply chain.
  • Sound knowledge of relevant factors that influence GHG emissions, their measurement and mitigation opportunities.
  • Agricultural knowledge, awareness of local farming systems.
  • Experienced in the use of Microsoft systems and being able to transfer IT skills to using bespoke company systems.
  • Ability to interact positively and fairly, building relationships effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure excellent customer service and delivery.
  • Educational background in Agriculture, Economics, Finance, and related-field.
  • Passionate in the topic of Sustainability, Regenerative Agriculture, etc.
  • Romanian and English language are required due to engagement with internal and external partners.
  • Excellent numeracy and communication skills with strong capabilities of managing a full workload.
  • IT proficiency
  • Ability to work with tight deadlines
  • An individual who can think laterally and offer solutions to solving potential problems.
  • Excellent geographic knowledge
