Description:
The WIC Clinic Supervisor II is primarily responsible for the management and supervision of their designated clinic(s) and assigned employees with other responsibilities consistent with the Nutritionist position. They will lead and collaborate with the team to work towards continuous quality improvement in the delivery of nutrition services. They will carry out the WIC and Mountain Park Health Center (MPHC) missions and guiding principles while meeting federal, state, and MPHC expectations. Other duties will include training, projects, audits, problem solving, and conflict resolution.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition or related field; or Associate degree in Nutrition with Dietetics Technician Registered (DTR) certification
- Valid Driver’s license
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in, or related field
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
Responsibilities:
- Supervises Nutrition Education Specialists, Nutritionists.
- Model the way for our employees by being mission driven, ensuring the team collaborates to deliver a quality service.
- Oversees day to day clinic operations to ensure a quality experience and an efficient and effective workflow.
- Collaborates with the Breastfeeding Coordinator and/or management to maintain breast pump inventory, documentation, and communication at assigned sites.
- Respond promptly to all complaints and requests from the State Agency.
- Provides instructions for participants or staff who are not in compliance with program procedures and regulations and coaches to ensure understanding and compliance.
- Mentors, observes, and evaluates assigned staff based on identified competencies and completes required documentation for MPHC Self-Assessment (LASA).
- Maintains security and inventory of food benefit supplies to prevent fraud and maintain accountability expectations. t.
- Assists in the recruitment process and on-boarding of new employees.
- Supports staff as a technical lead for HANDS, reviews assigned reports to identify training for staff, collaborates with managers to determine trainings and post assessments, and follows documentation and reporting guidance.
- Maintain accurate and adequate clinic documentation.
- Trains, observes, and audits employees by utilizing the state approved documents.
- Effectively integrate with other MPHC departments for common effort and ensure assigned employees are using eCW to obtain eligibility information, anthropometrical data, biochemical data, and complete referrals to other departments within MPHC or community stakeholders.
- Provide nutrition services to medium risk codes.
- Travel to multiple locations during shift.
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
