This role will see you providing quality secretarial support to a busy but very friendly department. Your role will predominantly involve:

  • Coordinating appointments with our clinicians and tūroro (patients)
  • Transcribing clinical dictation
  • Collating information and ensuring completeness of the record
  • Various administration tasks
  • Providing excellent customer service
  • Managing clinics

Your skills will include:

  • Technically savvy – quick at picking up new applications/systems
  • Excellent organisational, time management and problem-solving skills
  • Accuracy and attention to detail skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work unsupervised
  • Intermediate user in Microsoft suite of products e.g. Word, Outlook, Excel
  • Customer service and communication skills
  • Typing skills (50 – 70 WPM)

Responsibilities:

MŌ TE TŪNGA | ABOUT THE ROLE

Our Cardiology department is located in Christchurch Hospital, this department specialises in diagnosing and treating diseases or conditions of the heart and blood vessels—the cardiovascular system. Cardiology is one of the busiest services within the Te Whatu Ora Health NZ - Waitaha, Cantebury with over 30,000 appointments per year.
As a Clinical Administrator, you will be working in this fast-paced environment. You will play a key role in our service, helping to achieve the best outcomes for our tūroro (patients) and whanaū while working within a great kapa (team). This is a full-time permanent position based in Christchurch Hospital.
This position is full time permanent position working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
As part of the Administration and Clerical Pay Equity Claim settlement this role has been mapped to National Band 4/Profile 4A
