Description:

Overview:
The Clinical Analyst II will lead analytic projects that promote data-driven decision-making and a culture safety & quality throughout the organization. Facilitates the use of data to improve patient care by partnering with Medical Staff, leaders and others for their assigned population or registry.

Qualifications:

  • Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, required. Graduate Degree, preferred. Masters in related field, preferred.
  • Experience: 3 years of healthcare process improvement, data analytics experience, required. 1 year of Novant Health Clinical Analyst experience, required.
  • Licensure/Certification: RN, required. Certification in Safety, Quality, Nursing Specialty or related, preferred.
  • Additional Skills Required:
  • Must meet/complete the requirements for the Clinical Analyst I role and advancement application for the Clinical Analyst !!
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office Products. Understanding of personal computers and database management. Ability to present statistical information in a concise manner.
  • Good knowledge of ICD-10 diagnosis and ICD-10 procedure codes. Good knowledge of chart abstraction processes.
  • Good understanding of patient identification processes and components in patient management. Good knowledge of nursing documentation practices and resource tools.
  • Acute awareness of confidentiality of information collected, analyzed and presented.
  • Ability to successfully complete generic, department, and database-specific skills
