POSITION SUMMARY:

The Clinic Clerical Assistant provides clerical support for referrals and information management, patient administrative services, and performs other duties consistent with the job classification as required. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to engage multiple parties, exhibit strong customer service skills and value a dedication to excellence. Working within Insight Health Solutions, the Clinical Clerical Assistant will work alongside multiple partners and parties to facilitate efficient and seamless clinical operations. QUALIFICATIONS:

  • College Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • A related College Diploma, knowledge of medical terminology and/or training in the medical secretarial field is required
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (e.g. Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and proficient computer skills is required
  • Strong interpersonal and communication/customer service skills combined with the ability to collaborate and communicate with multiple partners and parties
  • Clerical experience in a fast paced clinic/health care environment; experience with third party/insurer work is preferred but not mandatory
  • Ability to multi task and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent attendance and performance record

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Reliable, flexible, creative, and self-directed professional
  • Demonstrates excellent ability to work within a team environment with a strong dedication to excellence and quality work

Responsibilities:

  • Communicates and collaborates with internal and external parties to ensure timely scheduling of appointments and other patient care activities
  • Enters patient information and appointments into required databases and maintains protected health information
  • Tracks key performance indicators in a timely manner
  • Completes activities such as invoice reconciliation
  • Answers the telephone, checks and returns email and voicemail messages; demonstrates strong dedication to customer service
  • Demonstrates excellent attention to detail with the ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple activities in a fast-paced work environment
  • Participates in regular team meetings both with internal and external parties
  • Performs cross-functional, and/or, other duties consistent with the job classification, as required
