Clinical Coding Manager

Ensure adequate cover is in place; managing sickness, annual leave, training and other absence. Represent the clinical coding department in meetings, providing specialist advice and support. Organise team meetings and take an active part in general departmental meetings to ensure knowledge and learning is widely communicated. Ensure appropriate and effective planning, communication and management of clinical coding projects which cross business units.
Develop a culture of continuous improvement and service development. Regularly review and, if necessary, revise the department’s working practices to take account of the department, Trust and NHS mandatory requirements. Deal with complicated queries. Ensure timely and accurate coding completion to satisfy the needs of contracting and commissioning targets.
Work with auditors in delivering feedback from audit results, reviewing personal development plans for the team
