Description:

There has never been a more exciting time to join community mental health care. We are transforming how individuals access mental health care, there is a lot of intervention in mental health and welllbeing and we want to invest in all teirs of care. We are seeking to enhance our service offer with an experienced Psychologist (at 8a) or with a more recently qualified/ due to qualify practitioner (at Band 7). As such we would welcome applications from Trainee Psychologists in their final year of training. For Band 7 applicants we are able to offer the opportunity to progress to an 8a after one year’s full-time employment and completion of a portfolio to demonstrate competence to work at that level.
The East Community Mental Health Services are seeking enthusiastic Clinical, Counselling or Practitioner Psychologists to join our Teams. Working within the CMHTs based in in our coastal area supporting our locality mental health teams in embedding psychological mindedness across the MDT, and clinically leading the transformation of the teams with your expertise.
The roles will be supported by the East Consultant Clinical Psychologist and Highly Specialised Clinical Psychologist. Lincolnshire has been an early implementer for community transformation. The full job description and person specification are attached. The primary hopes for the role are to:
Support the embedding of psychologically minded assessment and interventions within our community mental health services across the East of the County. This will be through attendance at MDTs and provision of group supervision and reflective practice.
To support the team in developing psychologically informed formulation to build a trauma informed understanding of the people who access our services and determine the appropriate treatment pathways that meet their individual needs.
To provide clinical leadership for the team and enable the implementation of psychologically informed pathways of care and treatment.
To support a formulation based approach to risk assessment and management that enables considered decision making and responses to individual need.
To deliver a specialised psychological resource for adults with severe and enduring mental health problems.
To support coproduced service development within the teams and support research, audit and activities within your interests, expertise and the needs of the service.
To provide clinical supervision for CBT therapists, Trainee psychologists, assistant psychologists and support the development of new psychologically informed roles.
Newly qualified applicants will be considered for a developmental Band 7 to 8a role over a defined period with a supportive plan action plan, increased supervision and development
