Description:

Interview will be held on 10th July 2024
Are you a dedicated psychologist or psychological therapist, or do you possess a core profession in mental health, in nursing, occupational therapy, or social work? We have an incredible role waiting for you and it’s more than just a job; it’s an opportunity transform the lives of adults in Berkshire who are grappling with the challenges of Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder (EUPD), plus a chance for you to grow, learn and let your skills and expertise shine.
Step into a world of compassionate care and innovation as part of our IMPACTT team. You’ll be at the forefront of providing Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) as part of an already established programme delivering DBT across Berkshire.
For Psychologists and Psychotherapists, this role offers the perfect avenue to polish your expertise and expand your horizons. Meanwhile, if you have a core profession, we offer a preceptorship role (Band 6) where you can embark on a journey towards Band 7 through completion of DBT training. Our Clinical Lead for DBT is an accredited DBT therapist and an accredited DBT supervisor, and over half the team are either accredited DBT therapist or enrolled on the DBT Diploma. Staff wellbeing is paramount, and we deliver DBT on a foundation of compassion.
You will be based either at Erlegh house, University of Reading, or Athena Centre in Slough and will need to travel to other locations across the Trust as per service demands.
You will deliver all components of standard Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), managing individual therapy sessions, skills groups, providing valuable telephone coaching, and actively participating in weekly Consult sessions.
You will direct specialised psychological assessments, employing your expertise to facilitate these assessments effectively.
Assessment and continuous monitoring of risks will be a crucial part of your role. Collaborating closely with colleagues, you’ll implement strategies to manage risks effectively and ensure the safety and appropriateness of interventions.
Engaging in regular supervision sessions will be integral to your professional growth and success in this role.
Your active participation in IMPACTT meetings will contribute significantly to the collective efforts and collaborative approach within the team.
Building strong connections and collaborating closely with key professionals will be pivotal in ensuring seamless and effective support for individuals under our care.
