Description:

The Department of Health Services (DHS), Northern Wisconsin Center (NWC) is hiring a Limited Term Clinical Dietician in Chippewa Falls.
This position will work approximately 6 hours per week. This schedule is flexible but may vary based on facility need.

Northern Wisconsin Center (NWC) EXCEL is a short-term assessment and treatment facility for individuals who have an intellectual disability as well as a mental illness and aggressive or challenging behaviors. NWC, located at 2820 East Park Avenue in Chippewa Falls, is recruiting to fill multiple Resident Care Technician-Advanced (RCT-Adv) positions, also known as Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA’s).

POSITION SUMMARY

As a Clinical Dietician at NWC, you will implement a comprehensive clinical dietetic program which includes assessments, formulation of nutritional care plans, provision of nutrition education, and implementation of therapeutic dietary policies and procedures toward the goal of community placement. This position provides required nutritional services to individuals residing at the NWC. Registration and certification as a dietitian in Wisconsin are required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimally qualified applicants will have:

  • Registered Dietitian or eligible for registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration. Candidates must provide proof of eligibility at the time of interview. Candidate must be registered at the time of hire.
  • Certified Dietitian or eligible for certification. If eligible, candidate must become certified with the State of Wisconsin within 3 months of hire. This eligibility will be verified as part of the interview process.

Well-qualified applicants will have:

  • Experience providing nutrition assessments and developing therapeutic diets.
  • Experience providing nutrition education and counseling.
  • Training or experience working with various computer programs such as: Microsoft products (e.g. Word, Outlook, Excel), Electronic Health Records software, or food service software programs (e.g. CBORD).
