We’re currently looking for a Dietician to work as part of our digital team, delivering quality Dietetics services. The role is a part time (20 hours per week), work from home position, with some travel expected to corporate client sites. This is a 9 month fixed term contract. The ideal candidate will have paediatric dietetics experience also.

WHAT EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS DO I NEED?

  • BSc or MSc in Dietetics (essential)
  • Paediatrics experience (essential)
  • CORU registration (essential)
  • Membership of Irish Nutrition + Dietetic Institute (INDI) (essential)
  • Professional Indemnity Insurance (essential)
  • Relevant private practice clinical experience (preferred)

Responsibilities:

  • Engaging with patients and assessing their needs.
  • Developing diets that patients are able to adopt into their daily lives.
  • Determining appropriate dietary modifications needed to promote health or treat disease and formulate an appropriate treatment plan.
  • Treating patients whose symptoms are triggered or increased by eating particular foods.
  • Supporting people who are unable to eat after major surgery or serious injury to ensure they continue to receive the nutrition they need.
  • Helping athletes achieve their sporting goals through good nutritional practices.
  • Maintaining and advancing professional knowledge and keeping up with technical and clinical progress in order to offer clients the best treatment available.
  • Liaise with other healthcare professionals, such as GPs, Physiotherapists, other members of multi-disciplinary teams, to exchange information about the background and progress of patients, as well as to refer patients who require other medical attention;
  • Formulating practical dietetics advice and resources by interpreting, translating and evaluating relevant information from a variety of sources.
  • Conduct digital consultations
  • Write patient case notes and reports and collect statistics; as well as managing their payments, and issue receipts.
  • Meet continuous education requirements and maintain an up to date CPD folder.
  • Be caring, compassionate and professional and always have the patient at the core of everything you do.
  • You may be required to work with the marketing team from time to time and provide them with on the ground feedback
  • New graduates will have supervision with a senior team member and clinical lead in order to set goals, complete case studies and work through reflective practice.
