Description:

Are you enthusiastic, innovative and passionate about Quality Improvement? If so we are looking for a new member of the team to join our Clinical Effectiveness Department.
As the Clinical Effectiveness Assistant you will be responsible for national and local clinical audits and quality improvement projects. You will be required to facilitate the registration process, monitoring project progression, reporting and summarising outcomes at clinical governance meetings. Involvement in co-ordinating the clinical audit forward plan and provision of advice and support regarding audit to all professional groups. Further responsibilities of your role will include best practice guideline dissemination, assisting clinical areas to undertake a review against best practice.
The successful candidate will have good IT skills, especially proficient in the use of MS Excel and other MS packages with the ability to pay close attention to detail. There will be a requirement to organise, prioritise and adjust workload in relation to monthly and quarterly deadlines.
Working alongside the Clinical Effectiveness Manager your duties will involve influencing clinicians and managers at all levels to ensure that projects are focused on agreed priorities, carried out to a high standard, and completed and presented in a way that facilitates the implementation of improvements in clinical practice.
You will be expected to work with the team to develop and support reporting using the audit management platform (AMaT). Your duties will also include working closely with the Clinical Audit Leads and Governance team to support the Trusts work with patient safety learning agenda.
You should be able to work under pressure, meet agreed deadlines, and be capable of organising your own workload.
The post holder will be required to work independently, under supervision and as part of a team.
