Description:

The post-holder will be required to provide four service clinical sessions/week. It is envisaged that there will be at least 3 endoscopy lists/week and 1 clinic/week, including evening clinic/lists. The postholder is expected to attend 4 training lists per week to train with Dr Mundre and Dr Lord in advanced luminal endoscopic procedures such as Complex EMR s, RFA s , Dysplasia assessment , chromo endoscopy and exposure to ESD would be provided depending on experience and skills Occasionally the post holder may need to support/teach juniors to insert ascitic drains on the day ward. No commitment to on-call for Gastroenterology/GIM is required for the post.
If the post is to be recognised for OOPE, then the appropriate agreement from the Deanery/SAC will need to be obtained. The appointee will take an active role in audit and clinical governance and will comply with all the Trust infection control policies. The appointee will participate and co-operate with all Directorate Management arrangements
