Clinical Fellow in Palliative Medicine

The purpose of this role is to: To be a member of a multidisciplinary team providing high quality, holistic care under the supervision of palliative medicine consultants. It is expected that the post holder will work flexibly alongside colleagues to provide the best possible service for adult palliative care patients and those close to them. The post will provide an excellent opportunity to gain experience and skills in a supportive palliative care setting, for those considering a career in palliative medicine, allied medical specialties or general practice. This means you’ll be responsible for: To provide a medical service to hospice inpatients.
Opportunity to provide medical care to outpatients. Opportunity to work alongside the palliative care response team and gain experience in community specialist palliative care (dependent on experience). Opportunity to provide clinical and educational support to medical students as well as nursing and AHP colleagues. To contribute to wider MDT education and opportunity to work with the Medical Education team to deliver teaching to a wider group of health care professionals.
