Job overview
Applications are invited for the post of Clinical Fellow (ST3-5) in Diagnostic Neuroradiology for a period of 12 months commencing on 07 August 2024 until 05 August 2025.
The post holder will join the Department of Radiology and participate in neuroradiology reporting, MDT meetings, procedures such as CT guided biopsies, teaching Trainees and performing research and audit projects.
The post holder will work within a Consultant-led subspecialty team, alongside Specialty Registrars. You will be expected to contribute to the radiology on-call rota (body on-call in year one and neuro on-call in year two).
Main duties of the job
The principal duties of the posts will include:
Reporting of CT and MRI neuroradiology studies
Liaison with referring teams, Radiographers, Nurses, Trainees and Medical Students
Presentation of patients at MDT and other clinical meetings
Contribution to the audit activities of the neuroradiology and wider radiology department, including specialty regional and national audit programmes. Where possible, to participate in the collection and analysis of local data with a view to preparing and submitting papers for publication
Visits to other departments can be facilitated
Participation in clinical governance activities including discrepancy meetings both within and external to the department
Undertaking of procedures relevant to neuroradiology, including CT guided biopsy, myelograms and nerve root injections Appropriate training and supervision will be provided

Full Registration and a Licence to Practice with the General Medical Council at point of commencement is required.
