The Orthopaedic department at Queen Elizabeth Hospital (Woolwich) is looking for an enthusiastic colleague who will support our very busy orthopaedic service.
This is a replacement post and ideal opportunity for a suitably qualified individual looking to develop skills within the Orthopaedic department.

As post holder you will be playing an integral part in delivering an excellent trauma and elective orthopaedic service. You will assist in Out Patient/Clinics and Main and Day Case Theatres under the supervision of the Consultant. You will be expected to attend regular ward rounds with the Consultants or other junior medical staff.
The Clinical Fellow is expected to take part in Medical Audit and Postgraduate Education Programmes, and to play a full part in all the teaching and educational activities of the Medical Directorate, including the teaching of Undergraduate Medical Students.

The Department provides an extensive Orthopaedic and Trauma service for the reception, assessment, examination and treatment of people with abnormalities of the musculo skeletal system or who have sustained a recent injury.
The Department offers good training for junior medical staff in Orthopaedic Surgery with a broad range of treatment and the management of Trauma and Elective patients. There is a link with the King’s College UMDS, which provides four Specialty Trainee Registrars.
