Summary:
In cooperation with the Manager of Clinical Informatics, this role will be responsible for planning, implementing and supporting Epic clinical applications and projects. Assist in the coordination of project and support resources; responsible for communication between teams within the IT Department and business owners. Works independently and within team structures across the organization. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, end user support and education in regard to Epic functionality, troubleshooting reported issues and workflow questions.

Responsibilities:
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities :
1. Maintains a positive effective relationship between IS team and clinical departments by acting as a liaison when needed.
2. Works with staff to recommend and implement workflow and technical solutions that address operational, procedural and systems related issues across the facility’s applications.
3. Participates in testing and implementation of system upgrades in cooperation with technical staff, the applicable departments and EMR vendor.
4. Assists in creating educational material and the education of users.
5. Attends all required safety training programs and can describe his or her responsibilities related to general safety, department/service safety, and specific job-related hazards.
6. Must be able to sit and/or perform computer-oriented tasks for a protracted amount of time.
7. Able to research and apply basic understanding of application setup and support of Epic systems.
Hours will be dependent on patient census and workload. Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule, to include after-hours and weekends as necessary.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

The requirements listed below must be representative of the knowledge, skills, minimum education, training, licensure, experience, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s Degree required.

EDUCATION FIELD OF STUDY:

Healthcare degree in Nursing, Respiratory Therapy, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy or Speech/Language Pathology required.

EXPERIENCE: REQUIRED PREFERRED

Previous clinical experience required.
Previous Epic experience as clinician preferred.
Previous healthcare experience required.

SKILLS:

Language Skills – Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language required.
Analytical Skills required.

KNOWLEDGE:

Epic Functionality for clinicians preferred.

OTHER CERTIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

Complete Credentialed Trainer Program provided by Nebraska Medicine within 6 months of hire date required.
Your own personal smart phone required. (Faith Regional mobile apps may be necessary to perform the functions of this position.)
