SALARY RANGE:

Salary range for the position is $102,938 to $147,974 and starting salary will be based on education, training and experience.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Interior Health is hiring a Clinical Lead | Access and Flow. We are looking for candidate with operational leadership experience in supporting patient discharges and transitions between Acute-Community-Long Term Care. This position provides opportunity to innovate to improve patient flow and be apart of a patient-centered change.

  • Please note: on-call coverage for the region on a rotating basis is required as a part of this position. In Fiscal 2024-25, the hours will transition to provide weekend and statutory hours of service on a rotating basis.

EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or health-related discipline, supplemented by a Master’s degree in a health-related field.
  • A minimum of 5 to 7 years of recent, related clinical Access & Flow experience, with three years’ experience in project management or leadership.
  • Or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage and support change that is consistent with the vision, purpose, and operating principles of Interior Health.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate and facilitate working groups, chair multi-partner meetings, and collaborate with physicians and nursing staff.
  • Ability to research and collate national and international best practices and/or clinical practice standards and identify implications to surgical services practice.
  • Ability to effectively plan, implement, and evaluate outcomes.
  • Broad knowledge of healthcare and system/service delivery models, including medical device reprocessing.
  • Demonstrated ability and extensive knowledge/experience in managing strategic planning, health systems, and service initiatives at the organizational, regional, and provincial levels. Leadership and management skills in a large diverse environment.
  • Strong conceptual and policy-oriented skills. Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex ideas and information; to creatively problem-solve with a global perspective in order to incorporate the organization’s systems and strategies when developing viable solutions to problems; and to establish courses of action for self and others that are results-oriented.
  • Excellent communication skills including the ability to facilitate, negotiate, and persuade others both internal and external to the organization, often in stressful environments. Superior verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to express a view convincingly, coherently, and concisely both verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrated experience with multi-faceted projects and stringent timelines.
  • Demonstrated ability to productively use medical/computer equipment and programs (i.e., spreadsheet, word processing, database, email, internet, presentation, and project management applications).
  • Valid BC class 5 BC Driver’s License.
  • Ability to travel frequently within IH and to provincial meetings.
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
