ESSENTIAL SKILLS

  • Nurse or paramedic, 3 years post qualification.
  • RCUK ALS Instructor.
  • Custody healthcare experience for a minimum of 2 years.
  • Leadership and management experience.

Responsibilities:

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE CLINICAL LEAD / RESUSCITATION OFFICER

  • Delivering ILS training to staff.
  • Providing line management including supervision, appraisal, managing poor performance, and identifying CPD strategies.
  • Forensic sampling (including road traffic offence bloods).
  • Signposting and conducting referrals; offering support for vulnerabilities and supporting patients to break patterns of re-offending.
  • Delivering substance misuse therapies.
  • Assessment and care of detainees and staff in custody suites.
  • Working with Liaison and Diversion to identify any mental health needs.
