Description:
An e xciting opportunit y has arisen for a new band 6 Clinical Leader in Theatres at the Royal Lancaster Infirmary. We are looking for highly motivated, enthusiastic, and dedicated individuals who will develop and lead both the team and the service.
We have monthly education/development half days, a dynamic theatre management team and significant investment planned in our infrastructure and innovative electronic patient care recording systems.
Th is post will mostly be clinical and will be leading in the specialities of breast and endoscopy. The post will also take a lead on scheduling all elective patients and lists within the Department. This will involve efficient scheduling to support high, quality performance and support our objectives to meet our Trust and Government waiting targets. The successful candidate will be involved in new scheduling processes where we will learn from cancellations to prevent them happening in the future and provide a better service for our patients. The final aspect of this post will be backfill for other Clinical Leaders in their absence.

Anyone newly appointed to the trust will be subject to the completion of a satisfactory 6 month probationary period (this includes bank staff). This will give the new staff member an opportunity to become familiar with the role and working environment.
