ABOUT US:
Monash Health (MH) Neurology consists of dedicated clinicians specialising in treating patients with routine and complex neurological disorders. MH Neurology provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services for patients with neuro-immunological conditions. Our team is also involved in local and international clinical trials and research.
Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE:
Join our team as a Neuro-immunology Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) on a part time (48 hrs per fortnight), ongoing basis to work at Monash Medical Centre Clayton
The CNC is an expert nurse with advanced theoretical and clinical skills who provides clinical resource, clinical advisory/development and undertakes related projects and development activities to meet specified clinical nursing needs in neuro-immunology. The CNC is both directly and indirectly responsible for facilitating streamlined pathways of care through providing high level of knowledge and clinical skills to patients with neurological disorders.
You will also be responsible for the management and supervision of other employees and the development of strategies to meet the educational requirements of employee. This also includes the forward planning of resource requirements.
You will also work with research nurses ensuring patients are offered with current research and clinical trials alongside with enthusiastic and experienced research team in neurology.
MADATORY REQUIREMENTS OF THE ROLE
- Registered with Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia via AHPRA via AHPRA
- Extensive nursing/midwifery experience, including in neurology/neurosciences
- Recent experience as a CNC
- Qualification of Master’s Degree or other relevant post graduate education or working towards the same
- Current and satisfactory pre or ongoing employment screening, including but not limited to National Police
- Check and employee Working with Children Check (WWC)
- Member of a relevant health professional research group or other Nursing/Midwifery professional association
