Temporary full-time role up to 12 months (with possible extension).
About this role
The North Queensland (NQ) First Nations Skin Health Initiative has expected outcomes that include engaging with clients to increase awareness of prevention of skin sores and throat infections through community education and awareness strategies to encourage early presentation to primary health care facilities. Reduction in skin sore occurrence or early presentation is ultimately anticipated to enable treatment of throat and skin sores thereby leading to provision of care closer to home through reduction in hospitalisations.
This is an exciting opportunity to join this team to deliver the NQ First Nations Skin Health Initiative. This initiative is part of the Connected Community Pathways funding and is designed to work with First Nations children and adults, internal and external community stakeholders to implement community based clinical care and influence structural drivers of poor skin health.
