Tell me more…As a Clinical Nurse Consultant, you are the clinical lead in the primary health care setting, working in partnership with the Indigenous Health Workers, and providing primary health care and chronic disease management as well as emergency care.

  • Advanced level of understanding of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture.
  • Ability to show stability, flexibility and adaptability while moving around multiple communities in light aircraft.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE:

  • Participate in an on-call roster as applicable.
  • This position requires the incumbent to operate a patient retrieval vehicle (4WD) which requires a C Class Drivers Licence. An appropriate licence endorsement to operate this type of vehicle is required. Proof of this endorsement must be provided before commencement of duty.
  • Travel across the TCHHS will be a requirement of this position in commercial and/or light aircraft and 4WD vehicles.
