We are currently seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Educator to work within the Acute Assessment Unit for the Medical & Elder Directorate based in Whangarei Hospital.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Nurse Educator’s primary purpose is to work within the service and organization contributing to the development of clinical practice through the delivery of education to the nursing workforce.
The role provides support to the broader nursing workforce by developing, contributing and collaborating with other service and directorate nurse educators and members of the health team to improve patient outcomes; by being responsible for promoting, facilitating and providing clinical education to maximize healthcare delivery.
The outcomes of the role are to facilitate all new and experience staff to receive the appropriate clinical support for orientation and ongoing professional development to enable the provision of safe patient/tūroro/tangata whai ora care.
This is a permanent part time role working 24 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
