We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) to join our perioperative team on a part time basis. In this ongoing role, you will play a pivotal role in providing clinical education and support to our nursing staff. Whilst this will be a CNE role there will be an element of the role that will include clinical support on the floor to staff.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Deliver comprehensive clinical education and training to nursing staff on the perioperative ward.
  • Facilitate skill development and competency enhancement among nursing personnel through hands-on training and mentorship.
  • Collaborate with unit managers and healthcare providers to identify learning needs and develop tailored educational programs.
  • Provide ongoing clinical support on the floor, assisting with patient care activities and ensuring adherence to best practices and protocols.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of educational initiatives and implement improvements as needed to enhance staff performance and patient outcomes.
  • Act as a resource and mentor to nursing staff, offering guidance and support in clinical decision-making and complex patient cases.

Our team requires someone who has:

  • Registered Nurse with current registrations with AHPRA
  • Previous experience within a clinical nurse education role preferred
  • Post Grad Perioperative qualification preferred
  • Perioperative experience essential
  • Excellent time management and organization skills
  • Demonstrated problem solving and decision-making skill
  • High level interpersonal skills
