ABOUT US:

The Specialist Outpatients Department (SOPD) team works closely with a wide range of other departments including Renal Services, Cancer Care Services, Allied Health, Department of Child Safety, Operational Services, and Community Services. SOPD also works collaboratively with other facilities within CQHHS and across the state with other Hospital and Health Services in order to have patients treated appropriately closest to home.

It is a condition of employment for this role for the employee to be, and remain, vaccinated against vaccine preventable diseases as listed on the Role Description.

Responsibilities:

A Clinical Nurse (CN) is a Registered Nurse accountable at an advanced level for the coordination of clinical practice delivered in a clinical specialty. This position provides leadership and support to nursing and medical staff and supports the delivery of competent, best practice quality nursing care, while working in collaboration with the line manager of the unit.

  • Demonstrate a high level of understanding of the Specialist Outpatient Services Implementation Standard and how it fits into the clinical setting.
