Description:
The Faster Cancer Treatment Clinical Nurse Specialist (FCT CNS) position is a 0.6 FTE fixed term role from July 2024 – August 2025.
It is an advanced nursing practice role that is responsible for care co-ordination of patients on the High Suspicion of Cancer pathway, and patients who are have a gynaecologic cancer diagnosis that are being cared for by the General Gynaecology team.
NGA PŪKENGA MOTUHAKE | IMPORTANT SKILLS
- We are looking for individuals who have at least 5 years gynaecology nursing experience with proven ability to work autonomously, and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- You will demonstrate expert clinical skill, promote best practice, facilitate collaboration between teams and provide coaching and education
- You must have excellent communication skills and be able to navigate challenging situations.
- You will be confident in making independent recommendations, liaising and collaborating with a range of people and teams.
- You will have experience and skills in the pathway for the management of high suspicion of gynaecological cancer as well as treatment and follow up modalities.
- You may have skills in IT, telephone triage and assessment.
- Current APC, and NZ registration are also a requirement.
