Description:

Clinical Nurse Specialist – Hepatology
Band 7 – Full-time 37.5 hours per week
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Hepatology Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS), based primarily at Croydon University Hospital but often needed to provide support at the outreach clinics within the community.
The Hepatology CNS will work closely with the Consultant Hepatologist, as part of the multi-professional team, to ensure that patients receive the highest standard of care and support from time of diagnosis, through treatment and follow-up.

THIS INCLUDES THE PROVISION OF:

A Fibroscan service
Viral hepatitis clinics
Day-case ascetic drain procedures for patients with liver disease via a nurse-led clinic
It is anticipated that the hepatology service will develop further over the next few years. Flexibility in how the service is developed by the multi professional team will be required and this will be a necessary component of the Hepatology Clinical Nurse Specialist’s role.
