Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Frimley Health NHS FT as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in HIV.
You will continue the work undertaken by the existing CNS for HIV in developing and delivering excellent HIV services to patients at the Wexham Park Hospital site of Frimley Health who is retiring in May.
The role will encompass every clinical aspect of HV care for patients, careers and relatives. The role also involves developing and guiding future HIV services including opt out testing in ED and cross site working and collaboration with external organisations associated with HIV services.
Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust provides NHS hospital services for around 900,000 people across Berkshire, Hampshire, Surrey and south Buckinghamshire.

We are also proud to host the Defence Medical Group South East at Frimley Park with military surgical, medical and nursing personnel working alongside the hospital’s NHS staff providing care to patients in all specialties.
Support the planned opt out HIV testing in the Emergency Department cross site.
To provide clinical support and guidance for all medical and nursing staff within the Trust relating to HIV.
To provide training and education for staff in all aspects of HIV.
To provide specialist counselling service for inpatients, outpatients and their significant others.
To co-ordinate the HIV multi-disciplinary team clinical and managerial meetings at the Wexham Park Hospital site.
To support the externally deliver Firmley park hospital HIV service.
To plan, deliver and audit specialist HIV care, training and education across all professional boundaries with the Acute Trust.
To write and assist in relevant strategic policies and procedures, patient information leaflets for the Trust in relation to HIV and associated initiatives.
To investigate and provide information regarding complaints and clinical incidents in related to HIV.
To monitor and make contact with newly diagnoses HIV inpatients.
To work with external organisations in relation to HIV
