Description:
The post holder will provide specialist assessments and nursing interventions to patients within The Hellingly Centre and participate in review of clinical policies and guidelines relevant to forensic mental health and support and implement changes to practice; liaise with Acute Mental Health Services, Rehabilitation Services and Medium and
Low Secure Services, organisations and professionals to promote communication and best clinical practice; be able to undertake audit activity and supervision to other staff in a High Dependency Recovery and Rehabilitation Service. Have an understanding of psychosocial
interventions, to include psycho- education, recovery care plans, using “My Shared Pathway” care planning system and lead clinically on transitions and discharge planning.
This post offers the Trust’s £4,000 Incentive for band 5-7 Nurses & Practitioners, as well as a relocation package up to a maximum of £8,000 (subject to terms and conditions).
To take a lead on clinical matters and policy development relating to nursing practice.
- To provide direct clinical nurse leadership.
- To be part of recruitment and selection process of staff.
- To be aware of Acute Mental Health Services, Rehabilitation Services and the Forensic Healthcare Service in accordance with Trust policies and protocols within nursing and nursing strategies.
- To develop and participate in the delivery of a supervision structure for team members.
- To monitor the caseload and practice of nursing staff and others in the team.
- To be part of a senior nursing group for ongoing support and development.
- To ensure nursing staff within service area are compliant with NMC regulations.
