Description:

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

  • Renal clinical experience
  • Ability to meet agreed targets/ deadlines
  • Ability to adopt an enquiring approach and to be proactive in seeking advice and guidance when necessary.

Responsibilities:

MAIN DUTIES OF THE JOB

Work closely with existing teams in the recruitment, assessment and selection of potential recipient and providing information and support. This will include initiating full clinical assessment of potential transplant recipients.
To coordinate & manage the pre transplant surgical assessment clinic of potential transplant recipients.
Develop and coordinate transplant information and education, including leaflets, videos and seminars for patients and staff.
To initiate and/or support audit/ research projects
To be familiar with current legislation on transplantation. Act as a specialist resource on renal transplantation within the Trust.
To maintain a highly effective communications network
Will be expected to travel to locations within the network to promote transplantation
