Description:

Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is looking to recruit a Clinical Procurement Specialist to be the clinical expert providing the link between Procurement and clinical colleagues within the Trust.
You will be based in the procurement team and act as the lead specialist supporting the delivery and development of improved performance across organisations by providing highly specialist clinical advice which supports the Trust in making safe clinical decisions in product choice and standardisation which promotes quality improvement.
Through the established governance system, you will oversee a range of complex activities and transformation initiatives in different clinical environments. Your responsibilities will include maintaining records, promoting standardisation, enhancing patient safety, and driving value for the Trust by encouraging clinical colleagues to carefully consider their product choices and usage through Collaborative.
You will be based at Doncaster (DRI) but expected to attend Bassetlaw and Montagu when required. Flexible working is promoted and you are expected to work on site 2 days a week.
Our main goal is to ensure that clinicians and ward staff receive a first class service. This entails delivering the right product, in the correct location, and at the right time. Our aim is to attain the most cost-effective, dependable, timely, and adaptable services from suppliers wanting to collaborate with the Partner Trusts.
Using highly developed specialist clinical knowledge, experience and expertise, you will work with clinicians and other colleagues to achieve and sustain reductions in non-pay expenditure, improvements in the purchasing goods and stock control functions without compromising the quality of patient care or clinical outcomes.
It is essential to be an active clinical professional and continuously develop the necessary skills for clinical practice. This will allow you to offer specialised insights that can greatly influence patient pathways.
