Description:

We are currently seeking to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic Clinical Psychologist who has experience working with children with neurodevelopmental difficulties including ASD, Intellectual Disabilities and ADHD and long term health conditions to join our new and innovative Hull and East Riding Neurodevelopmental service.
The post holder will have the opportunity to be part of the specialist assessments for neurodevelopmental conditions and interventions for children with neurodevelopmental difficulties alongside providing supervision to MDT members, consultations and training to other agencies. This role will also include some level of service development and influence in local relevant strategies for young people with neurodevelopmental conditions. You will join a busy and well established team consisting of Nurses with a broad range of specialities, Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Psychology and Psychiatry. You will have the opportunity to influence the development of the service at a systemic and interagency level.
This is an exciting time to be joining the service due to the extensive transformation work being undertaken by not only our service, but also the wider Neurodiversity work within which our service sits. This is developing a multi-agency approach to meeting the needs of children with neurodiversity and their families. We also have a strong focus on evidence based practice and the use of routine outcome measures. There is a commitment to ongoing staff training to enable practitioners to have accredited therapeutic and supervisory skills. We are also working towards having more participation from young people and their families in directing service development.
