Description:

We are delighted to be recruiting for a Clinical Psychologist to work within the friendly and skilled Lincolnshire Stroke Service (LSS). The service works out of four bases across our beautiful rural county, supporting patients in the community seamlessly after discharge from their acute phase of care. It hosts a full multidisciplinary team of specialist physiotherapists, speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, assistant practitioners and rehabilitation assistants. The service has recently undergone a significant period of transformation in order to reduce length of stay in Acute care and be able to offer specialist rehabilitation to all Stroke survivors. As a part of that service development we are able to present this exciting opportunity to help shape the provision of psychology services to stroke.
LSS sits within Lincolnshire Community Health Service. The post holder will employed by Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust and will be part of the Neuropsychology Team, working alongside a Consultant Neuropsychologist in Stroke who will provide regular supervision.
The post is banded at an 8a but we would be happy to offer a Band 7 preceptorship for the right candidate. This would include funding for the PgDip in Clinical Neuropsychology to support skill development.

To offer a professional and specialised clinical psychology service to the community multidisciplinary Lincolnshire Stroke Service. This will include:
Providing a specialist clinical psychology perspective in complex multi-disciplinary assessments including with outside agencies
Facilitating staff training and support on neuropsychological issues, including collaborative development of interventions
Carrying a specialist caseload as an autonomous clinician to provide psychological and neuropsychological assessments, including assessment of risk to patients and cognitive assessments where appropriate
Attend weekly community stroke MDT meetings
Implementation of triage and intervention pathways based on holistic formulations and assessment
Supervision of assistant psychologists, junior or trainee clinical psychologists
Thorough record keeping
Evaluation of service outcomes including neuropsychological input, in line with national guidelines
Maintaining activity levels in accordance with Service Level Agreements as commissioned

This post is for a Clinical Psychologist to work within the community multidisciplinary Lincolnshire Stroke Service (LSS) providing specialist neuropsychological knowledge for:
