ABOUT US:
We are one of four new Menopause Hubs in NSW, providing clinical services to women with severe and/or persistent symptoms of menopause. We are responsible for the care of women within our district, Mid North Coast Local Health District and Northern NSW Local Health District. Our hub is comprised of medically-led, multi-disciplinary services, providing a holistic approach to helping women with severe symptoms, and the associated health risks of menopause.
We are part of the Women’s Health and Maternity (WHAM) Network, based in the Greater Newcastle region. The vision for the WHAM Network is to “facilitate partnerships to enable safe, equitable, quality women’s health and maternity care services across the lifespan”.
We are looking for a motivated, passionate individual who advocates for women’s health services to join our growing team!
REQUIREMENTS:
- An approved tertiary qualification: Masters or higher degree in Clinical Psychology. Applications from those nearing completion of an approved qualification may be considered.
- Full registration with AHPRA/Psychology Board of Australia (or, in the case of a psychologist nearing completion of post-graduate training, provisional registration may be accepted). Endorsement in clinical psychology or willingness to work towards the same would be preferred.
- Current unencumbered driver’s licence.
Responsibilities:
This role will directly support people experiencing severe and complex symptoms of menopause inclusive of mental health well-being which may include mental health deterioration. You will be pivotal in providing holistic person centred care.
The service is an innovative model and requires a passionate experienced clinical psychologist to join the team. You can expect that you would provide face to face and telehealth consultation. Involvement in group activities will also be involved.
