Description:

This a great opportunity to join a psychologically minded, highly skilled MDT. There is responsibility with the post for promoting psychological approaches and formulation within the multi-disciplinary team. The post holder will be expected to be skilled in highly specialised psychological therapies for eating disorders and to be able to deliver these for people with severe and enduring eating disorder presentations.
The post has a broader purpose of promoting psychology through the supervision of trainee clinical psychologists, clinical apprentices, assistant psychologists and placement students. The post holder will be required to continue to lead psychological thinking regionally through the East Midlands Provider Collaborative.
The post holder will be a member of the Nottinghamshire Eating Disorder Service, which serves the residents of Nottingham and Nottinghamshire. The service provides multidisciplinary community-based support. The post holder will provide leadership and support in team development and developing clinical practice, and will provide supervision individually and in groups. The post holder will work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the service’s policies and procedures. The post holder will co ordinate and manage a complex caseload of patients and will provide support to other team members in helping them review and formulate patient needs.
