Description:
Your Role at St John of God Health Care Mt Lawley Hospital
We are looking to appoint a Clinical Psychologist to join our team on a 12 month fixed term basis.
The Clinical Psychologist is responsible for the development and delivery of innovative programs that provide high-level clinical care to patients/clients in groups, and an individual basis across a variety of acute and psychiatric specialties.
The Position
- Provides advanced level Psychology services including a range of individualised and group clinical care based on professional training reflecting current ethical clinical practice as required.
- Provides comprehensive assessment and care planning monitoring client/patient progress adjusting treatment accordingly for complex management.
- Maintains appropriate clinical records reflecting adherence to hospital policies, ACHS and legal requirements.
- Contributes to the design and implementation of programs relevant to the needs of clients and current clinical practice.
- Familiar and complies with legal, ethical responsibilities to patients/clients, visitors and staff, inclusive of maintaining confidentiality.
- Maintain a sound working knowledge of best practice supervision practices; competency based learning plans and ethics around supervision.
- Demonstrates strong, current clinical knowledge and skills, and applies this to contribute to supporting individuals and teams in clinical practice.
- Participates regularly in clinical supervision and continues ongoing professional development through education.
You will hold a Tertiary Qualification of Psychology and Registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia (AHPRA) and possess appropriate clinical endorsement. You will have in depth knowledge of, and extensive clinical experience at a senior level in, the use of a variety of contemporary psychotherapeutic techniques.
To succeed, you will have experience in the use of evidence based, best practice treatments for both short term and longer term, time limited therapy and an in depth understanding of, and experience in, clinical research and evidence based practise methodologies, along with experience in providing clinical education and supervision to junior staff and students.

- Salary: $118,077 - $136,496 (pro rata for part time) per annum + 11% superannuation
- 12 month fixed term part-time position, working 32 hours per fortnight
