Description:

The role will provide clerical, administrative and organisational support to the Clinical Research Team at Bradford Teaching hospitals, working closely with the Research Matron, Clinical Nurse Manager for the Patient Recruitment Centre, Clinical Research Nurses, Midwives and Support staff across the research specialties in the Trust.
The post holder will be part of the cross-specialty research team and will work alongside the Research Matron to support with the coordination and organisation for the wider workforce.

Responsibilities:

Organising meetings, sending invitations, collating attendance, taking, typing up and distributing minutes,
Preparing documents
Maintaining databases and records e.g. records of training
Planning for events
Communication with other departments in the Trust
Distribution and coordination of the PRES (Patient research experience surveys)

  • Provide efficient administrative support to the Clinical Research Team, including taking minutes, typing correspondence, post, filing, photocopying, laminating, arranging meetings, etc.
  • Assist with the development of filing systems and archiving procedures.
  • Be responsible for inputting data onto departmental database systems.
  • Be expected to arrange and plan their own work on a day-to-day basis within the overall demands and priorities of the department.
  • Routine admin duties e.g. photocopying, laminating, filing, receiving visitors, dealing with telephone calls, messages, making diary appointments, as required.
  • Generate letters emails and send questionnaires, reminders etc.
  • Maintain records and logs such as training records, meeting attendance etc.
  • Attend training sessions as required.
  • Liaise with all relevant research staff.
  • Coordination of the PRES (Patient Research Experience Survey)
  • Undertake any other duties that are commensurate with the banding of this post.
