The College of Public Health at Temple University is seeking a Full Time Clinical Research Associate to work on projects involving children and adults with and without voice disorders in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders Vocal Development Lab.
Essential functions: The Clinical Research Associate will assist with maintaining communication between partnering clinical sites and Temple. The Clinical Research Associate’s responsibilities also include assisting with participant recruitment and scheduling; data collection and analysis; assisting with preparing IRB renewals and NIH submissions and progress reports; interfacing with University operations (e.g., room scheduling, petty cash/gift card office); and assisting with day-to-day operations including purchasing (e.g., office supplies, prizes for children); working alongside research assistants; and other duties as assigned under the direction of the Principal Investigator.

Required Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or related field, and a minimum of two years of directly related experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Must be able to obtain Act 33 Clearances.
  • Ability to work with a diverse population of children, adolescents, faculty, and staff.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Demonstrated computer skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Familiarity with the program Praat and maxQDA is strongly preferred

This position requires a background check.
This position requires Child Abuse Certifications prior to the commencement of service.
This is a grant funded position.
This position is temporarily assigned a hybrid work arrangement (on-campus and remote), the duration of this hybrid work arrangement is at the discretion of Temple University and the Department.
