POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Clinical Research Project Assistant (CRPA) will work closely with study team members (including collaborators at Sainte-Justine Hospital) and staff in the Division of Hematology/Oncology and Department of Psychology at the Hospital for Sick Children. The CRPA will report to the Principal Investigator - Dr. Laura Janzen (Neuropsychologist).

Responsibilities:

HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL GET TO DO:

The CRPA will assist with a 3 year multi-site grant-funded study investigating cognitive functioning in pediatric cancer survivors (aged 8-16 years).

SPECIFIC JOB DUTIES INCLUDE:

  • Assisting with study set-up and materials.
  • Advertising and recruitment for study.
  • Coordinating patient appointments with research and clinical team members for the research assessments.
  • Administering and scoring a brief battery of standardized neurocognitive assessment measures, under supervision of Dr. Janzen.
  • Medical chart reviews for data extraction.
  • Assist with database development and data management (e.g., data entry and data cleaning).
  • Administrative duties to ensure the smooth running of the study.
  • Participate in research meetings and other relevant training experiences.
