CLINICAL RESEARCH PROJECT ASSISTANT
Are you looking for a challenging and rewarding research assistant position where you can utilize your organizational, communication, and time management skills? If you are looking for an opportunity to participate in research projects, recruit participants, and build and maintain databases, then this is an opportunity for you! We are seeking a research assistant to join our team. This is a full-time position (1.0 FTE). For this position, you will be required to work on-site with flexibility in hours to accommodate recruitment and study visits.
Responsibilities:
The research assistant will be responsible for organizing research projects on children born preterm and/or with congenital heart disease.
Reporting to the PIs/Research Associate and Manager, the research assistant is responsible for applying straightforward technical knowledge and skills to perform well-defined, routine procedures.
- Aiding the Principal Investigators and their research managers/trainees on research projects and smaller related projects.
- Preparation of REB documents, ethics submissions.
- Coordinating study visits and contacting families for re-consent/data collection purposes.
- Database development, management and maintaining records of research data.
- Data collection.
- Screening for study eligibility and enrollment/recruitment of participants to active research studies.
- Preparation of data for multivariate statistical analyses and reporting.
- Conducting literature searches, maintaining literature databases.
- Administrative tasks: organizing study meetings with team members and collaborators, filing and study document maintenance following institutional policies and procedures.
- Opportunity to work on research projects (ie. data analysis, manuscript preparation, etc.) with other team members
