POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Korczak Lab is seeking a Clinical Research Project Coordinator (CRPC). Research in the lab is focused on child and adolescent depression and suicide prevention, and our studies examine ways to better understand and treat children with these mental health problems (https://www.korczaklab.com/). The CRPC will work with other Clinical Research Assistants and Coordinators, Graduate students and trainees, Manager, and the Principal Investigator to assist in various studies.

Responsibilities:

  • Help in the coordination and leadership of lab studies
  • Prepare and submit applications, renewals and amendments to the REB
  • Obtain informed consent from study participants, as needed
  • Perform research interviews with patients and caregivers as required by the study protocol
  • Contact participants to follow up on research materials
  • Administer research tasks and measures using REDCap
  • Perform/assist with data collection, database maintenance and cleaning
  • Monitor adverse events and follow reporting requirements
  • Read and have knowledge of protocol and study measures
  • Follow standardized operating procedures, and regulations and policies governing clinical research
  • Assist in the preparation of study results, including presentations, progress reports, and manuscripts
  • Assist in training/orientation of new research staff
  • Assist in supervision of research assistants and support of trainees
