Description:

Due to growth of our service an opportunity has arisen for a permanent Band 7 Clinical Scientist to join the existing Nuclear Medicine team which consist of 17.6 WTE members of staff. This is an interesting and varied role providing physics support to the Nuclear Medicine.
There are currently three gamma cameras over the two Trust sites, two with SPECT CT capability. At Gloucester Trust site there is the new SPECT-CT gamma camera installed in an upgraded department. There is an in-house Radiopharmacy used for the daily manufacture of radiopharmaceuticals, which is operated jointly with the Pharmacy department, and we also carry out Nuclear Medicine Therapies. Flexibility is required for this role.
Nuclear Medicine is a part of Medical Physics
This is an exciting time to join the department.
Will be required to work flexibility on both sites.
To provide scientific support to the Nuclear Medicine, and Radiation Protection services throughout the Trust
Carry out QC for imaging and non-imaging equipment.
Support Radiopharmacy QC.
Train staff
Carry out Radiation Audits.
